Ingredients:
- 2 1/2 to 3 cups of all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 package of active yeast (2 1/4 teaspoons)
- 3 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 cup very warm water (120 degrees, almost too hot to touch)
Directions:
- Mix 1 cup of the flour, the sugar, salt and yeast in a large bowl
- Add 3 tablespoons oil and warm water
- Beat with mixer scraping bowl frequently for 3 minutes
- Stir in remaining flour until dough is soft and leaves side of bowl
- Place dough on lightly floured surface and knead for 5 to 8 minutes or until dough is springy and smooth
- Cover loosely with plastic wrap and let rest for 30 minutes
- Heat oven to 425°
- Grease pan with oil
- Divide dough in half and put on pans
- Partially bake for 7 to 8 minutes or until crust begins to brown
- Remove from oven, add toppings and bake for another 8 to 10 minutes
Be creative! Some of our favorite pizzas include "Bacon, Chicken, & Ranch," "Buffalo Chicken (Frank's hot sauce mixed with blue cheese for sauce)," and "Breakfast Pizza w/ Bacon, Eggs, & Cheese."
